15 September 2020 RACING NSW END OF LIFE WELFARE PROGRAM In a further extension of Racing NSW’s existing equine welfare programs it was today announced that Racing NSW has established an End of Life Welfare Program to ensure that every NSW Thoroughbred horse has access to a free humane euthanasia service throughout its life in circumstances where a vet has certified that it is in the horse’s best interest and necessary on welfare or safety grounds. 28 August 2020 RACING NSW - TRANSPORT OF HORSES FROM VICTORIA Racing NSW has announced the introduction of phase one of the easing of restrictions permitting horses to travel from Victoria into NSW, consistent with the advice it has received from its biosecurity expert that it is appropriate to review its position given the reduction in the amount of daily new cases in Victoria and the stabilisation of the infection rate.
